A CMDS evening

Posted by Mick on April 28, 2010 – 11:34 pm

I spent the entire evening playing with the new CyberMonkeyDeathSquad blog.  It was actually work, but it felt like playing.  Work shouldn’t be that much fun.

I see the blog getting less regular in the near future.  I’m going to funnel more of my energy into the site now that it’s… now that it’s the way it needs to be.  I just didn’t know the way it needed to be until now.  I guess it’s a learning process.

Naj has really outdone himself.  I wish I could say it’s exactly what I wanted, but it’s so much better than what I wanted that I can’t take that much credit.  There’s a lot of love in this one.

I’m not sure how much longer it will be before you see it. It looks good enough to me to go up now, but Naj has a few more tweaks he wants to make, and we need to get at least some of the old content moved over, and I want to get at least some new content up.  I think we’re talking days though, not weeks.

I know the site has been as close to dead as it could possibly be for awhile now, but expect that to change.  I expect it to change.  This shift frees me up to be more creative, and it frees Tron and Joe up not to have to wait on me.  And it means I can start looking for some new writers.

I want a few writers that can cover music, I want another movie writer or two, and there’s room for more than just reviews.  I want  articles!  Retrospectives on directors, genres, oh so many things we could do that aren’t just reviews.  If you know someone who can write, and who is interested, send them this way.  Maybe it’s even you.

My thoughts are rambling more than they should be.  Time to call it a night.  After I go look at the website one more time.

Be good to each other
